What is Capital Gains Tax (CGT)? What is Capital Loss? I think I had a capital gains tax event during this tax year, but I am not sure.
CGT is the tax one pays on any capital gain one receives during the financial calendar year. The capital gains must be included on your annual income tax return. There is no separate tax on capital gains, it is merely a component of your income tax. You are taxed on your net capital gain at your marginal tax rate. You register a Capital Loss if the total cost pertaining to the CGT event exceeds the total capital proceed you receive or intend to receive from the event. When you use our tax service, you do not need to worry about calculating your capital gains or losses. Just answer simple questions related to your CGT event and our proprietary software calculates the capital gains or losses for you and fills out all the relevant information, ready to be e-lodged with ATO.

I had many work-related expenses. Can I consider them for deductions on your website?
Our tax software provides the most comprehensive deductions and offsets so our clients receive the maximum tax refund. If you had work related expenses, you can certainly deduct them from your income.
